THE BEGINNING

Farmers to Families was founded by a veteran and his family who settled down after decades of military service and wanted to find a way to feed their family healthy meat.  It doesn't take a lot of research to determine how out of touch the meat industry has become with the families who rely on it, and how it is impossible to know what you are eating and where it came from.  We desperately wanted a solution for our family and for those like us.  The answer was simple…get your meat from the source and buy one animal so you know what you are eating.  For years we have been enjoying the benefits of sourcing meat directly from family farms, and we wanted to find a way to connect even more families to this great way of life.  Thus, Farmers to Families was born...out of love, community, and integrity.  

 

THE MISSION

Industry's constant quest for faster cheaper food options has led to unfortunate consequences for our families and our communities. The American commercial meat industry is broken.  We can do better and we deserve better!  That is why we have dedicated ourselves to providing you the simplest solution of single steer & swine meats...healthy, safe, and honest meats from the family farms of the Shenandoah Valley delivered directly to your door. Pasture, Butcher, Table...it doesn't get easier than that.   

 

AN AMERICAN TRADITION

For centuries, family farms across the United States have produced delicious products for American families. They've done this by growing or sourcing locally, without unnecessary antibiotics, without hormones, and without feedlots.  They've used family owned and operated butchers to process and package meat.  This American tradition still exists and the Farmers to Families community goes back to our roots and brings it directly to your door...connecting your table with the pasture.
